How to Coach Hartman’s T-Game Basketball Part 5 - Continued

Single-Post Continuity

T-Gsme basketbal offense diagramT-10
The continuity of the T-Game is established when the attack shifts from one side of the court to the other. The #2 to #1 pass keys the change of sides continuity. #3 moves around #5’s screen to his initial forward position.

#4 cuts hard to the foul line on a diagonal cut. #1 dribbles quickly to his left on the pass from #2. We are now in the exact position on the left side of the court as we would have been if #1 had dribbled left to start the offense. On the pass from #1 to #3, we are once again set for our basic scoring options. Against pressure defense, #5 usually moves to a high post until this #1 to #3 pass is completed.

Diagrams T-11 and T-12 illustrate another change of sides to the original positions as illustrated in Diagram T-2.
T-Gsme basketbal offense diagramT-12
The movement here shows #5 setting a screen for #4 cutting around him. This gives #4 a better opportunity to be open for the pass from #1. #5 may again pop into a high post after screening and then move low on the pass from #1 to #4
